The Sturgis Rally, the mother of all motorcycle rallies, is held annually in Sturgis, South Dakota, United States, in the beginning of August. It’s the world’s largest motorcycle rally and gathering, attended by Americans as well as bikers from almost every country in the world. Sturgis is a small city of about 7000, but during the rally it can swell to 750,000 people. Rally events—rock concerts, dealer shows, exhibitions etc—may spread from July to the end of August, though the official duration is about 6 days. Many bikers arrive a week before the official dates and peak days are in the middle of the rally weak, usually Tuesday and Wednesday.
