The Downside of Tons of Vendors Part III
Previously I wrote that there is a downside of having too many vendors for promoters, attendees and vendors. Below is the third part of this article.
The second year, the number of booths will most likely be down. In addition, the second year the amount that the rally can charge will most likely go down as well because now the larger companies with money will not be interested.
So the building of the name of a rally as a top quality rally will be tarnished and over the next few years rebuilding the quality reputation will end up costing the promoters more money than they made.
Don’t think that I am anti-Mom and Pop 10×10 booths because a lot of them have unique products. The issue becomes when you have 10 companies selling inferior neon out of their van and the big neon manufacturers decides not to show up.
