Cutting the Cost of Going to Rallies

Whether the economy is booming or having problems the price of beer at almost all rallies is very high. When the economy is poor and gas prices are high it becomes important to try and lower expenses wherever you can. One of the easiest places to cut expenses is by bringing your own beer.

Although you can rarely do this at a motorcycle show, at almost all rallies you can bring in your own beer. At a couple of recent rallies the price of beer has been three to four times the price that you can buy beer at a store. Traveling to 25 rallies a year there is really only one rally that does not try and gouge you on beer prices and that was Sparks America Rally in Oklahoma where a can of Budweiser was only $1.

In addition to BYOB you might also want to consider bringing at least some of your own food or buying food from a store in the town the rally is located.
