There are two big motorcycle rallies held in Panama City Beach, Florida — The Thunder Beach Spring Rally (April 27-May 1, 2016), which attracts 80,000 attendees, and the Autumn Rally (October 19-23, 2016), which attracts 50,000. Both are billed as “The Most Biker Friendly, Free Rallies in the US.”
As billed, you’ll find the city and businesses welcome the riders to the Panama City Beach area and there are also no fees at any of the official venues. The Spring Thunder Beach official venues are: Aaron Bessant Park, Boardwalk Beach Resort, Frank Brown Park, Hammerhead Fred’s Island Grill and Bar, Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach, Pier Park, and Sharky’s Beachfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar.
In addition to riding along the emerald waters and white sandy beaches, there will be live music throughout the day and night at the Aaron Bessant Amphitheater. The 2016 headlining bands will be Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot.
Other big draws include three motorcycle shows (Best of the Thunder Beach Custom Bike Show, American Bagger Magazine’s Baddest Bagger Bike Show, and Thunder Beach LED Bike Show), Kickstart Party, Miss Thunder Beach Pageant, Ms. Thunder Beach Contest for ladies over 35, Thunder Beach Tattoo Competition, three poker runs (Thursday, Friday and Saturday), bike builders, bike parade, Harley-Davidson FLHX Street Glide giveaway, Tim Dyson FMX ramp-to-ramp freestyle jumpshow, vendors, and demo rides.
