This year, one of our biggest resolutions has been to give you guys and gals more. More sales. More deals. More content. What do we mean by content? Well, for one thing we are going to be expanding our social media presence immensely this year, bringing to all of our readers/customers more chances to laugh with us at funny pictures; stand in awe with us at amazing images of bikes resting against beautiful landscapes; win prizes from dozens of contests we’re planning on running this year (with new partners, like LS2 helmets); and much, much more.
Google+ (Google Plus) is one way in which we are going to be offering you guys more content than before. Our Facebook page is going to remain largely the same, organized and ran by the same social team that worked with you this last year (a year which expanded our Facebook fan base by over 100%!!), however, one thing we realized when we were going over our new plan for giving you guys more content this year is that, for all it’s awesome benefits, Facebook doesn’t have everything that we want/need to offer — at least in certain, specific areas. For example, posting funny images on Facebook (and our Twitter account) is a great way to show you guys what’s making us laugh around the offices of LeatherUp, but, it’s not great for offering beautiful, large images that can be printed, pasted and slapped onto desktop backgrounds. Google+ allows us to upload full-size images for all of your enjoyment, and lets us show off the true majesty and craftsmanship that some custom-bike tinkerers have put into their project bikes.
Another reason we’ll be focusing so much on Google+ this year is that it allows us to connect with other companies and circles of fans a lot easier. We can custom-tailor our content to certain segments of our users, for example, so that if you like hearing about motocross racing, but can’t stand to look at Harley cruisers, we can make sure you’re only seeing the content you want, when you want. Additionally, this allows us to expand our reach, and do a lot more postings about certain aspects of bikes and bikers that we haven’t really been able to touch on a lot on our Facebook page, due to the overwhelming number of fans on our page that tend to poopoo anything that isn’t cruiser related. We love cruisers and the people who ride them, though. We aren’t trying to get rid of our largest fan base, after all! We just want to make sure that EVERYONE who rides, regardless of what they ride, feels like LeatherUp is the one-stop shop for motorcycle enthusiasts of all ages, creeds and bike-loving needs. Google+ is going to allow us to expand and have racing updates, custom bike albums, cafe racer updates and much, much more.
So, if you haven’t already, head on over right now to our Google+ page and add us to your circle, “Plus” us, or both! Even if you only visit once or twice a month, we can guarantee that we will have daily updates, different than what you’d see anywhere else in our social circles (though, some of the best things will be shared everywhere!). It’s just a small part of our new pledge to give you guys and gals the best motorcycle and biker fashion and lifestyle content possible. Guaranteed (just like our lowest prices anywhere!).
Give our Google+ a try, and if you don’t like it, no worries. We know you’ll love it though, and that’s why in the last few weeks, even without advertising it, our numbers have increased by over 25%. People just like you are loving what we’re doing there, and all the great images, stories and more we can share.
From all of us to all of you, thanks again for making 2013 such a wonderful year for all of us, and stay tuned to here and all our social media channels for upcoming contests, prizes and all the best images and stories you can handle!
Until next time, we’ll see you later.
