Every now and then we need reminders of why we ride. Why it is we give up some of the safety — real or imagined — of driving in a car and choose instead to straddle over something that’s little more than an engine with two wheels. Sometimes the hefty insurance costs and the fact that most of us have to give up riding for the winter months, well, they cause us to occasionally regret our cycled friends. We forgive and forget, it seems, every time we ride, though, and that’s why it’s important that we remember things like this.
The image and text we’re sharing with you today is a statement that all of us can identify with. We all have experienced a road trip from a car and the difference it makes to make the same trip on a motorcycle. The attachment you feel not only to the road, but to the world and nature itself are unparallelled by anything else in this life. The people who ride motorcycles get it. The people who don’t can’t. It’s not their fault, and it’s not something we should hold against them. After all, how could you expect a blind person to know what it’s like to see? That’s what riding is, and what it should be for all of us.
We’re thankful for the summer months here at LeatherUp, and we’re thankful on a constant basis for your business. Your business gives us all the ability to not only provide you all with the best quality gear at the best prices; but your business also lets all of us ride on weekends, too. We get to ride and enjoy the road on two wheels because of all of our loyal and amazing customers.
We hope all of you had a very happy 4th of July, and we can’t wait to see some of you at Sturgis in a little over a month! From us to you, happy riding, everyone!
