The girl on these photos is Michelle, a cafe racer enthusiast and architect student from South Africa. And this is her personal bike—a custom 1980 Suzuki GS 450. Michelle hired custom bike builders Custom Worx to personalize this bike to her specifications. Changes to the motorcycle include: swapping the factory handlebars for blacked out clip-ons, shortening the rear end of frame, adding a wasps tail rear end with custom covered seat, powder coated wheels and detagged frame, classic dials, mirrors and lighting, and a set of shortened headers that feed out to a pair of free flowing mufflers.
The Suzuki was painted in pearl matte white and black. Michelle has custom gear that fits the bike—a retro motorcycle helmet with the number 278, Steve McQueen’s race number.
