Though a style in itself, motorcycle clothing is hardly ever trendy. And this, I assume, is a problem for women motorcyclists slash fashionistas. If it wasn’t, why would motorcycle gear manufacturer Alpinestars create the Vika suit? According to Alpinestars, the Vika suit is “the motorcycle suiting that seamlessly fuses contemporary fashion trends with modern protective innovations.” The suit consists of a protective jacket, pants, gloves, and boots made of soft quality leather in beige color, a style reminiscent of Keira Knightley’s cafe racer look in a Coco Chanel Perfume Commercial. I’d even go further to say that the designers in Alpinestars were inspired by that same commercial—compare the videos and images below and you’ll see that I’m right. As a man, I vote two thumbs up for the suit—it does look cool and I definitely wanna see my girl wearing it. The question is: How big is the market for it, meaning how many of those women motorcyclists slash fashionistas are out there? Are you one of them?
