Kawasaki released its 2013 motorcycle models ahead of schedule. The 2013 Kawasaki lineup includes ZX-10R and ZX-10R ABS, the street motorcycles Ninja 650 and Ninja 650 ABS, and the dual-sport KLX250S and KLR650. The most notable upgrades in the lineup are a new electronically controlled steering damper for ZX-10 bikes and an anti-lock version of the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 650.
In 2011, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R received a complete overhaul, so the 2013 model gets a minor update—a new electronically controlled steering damper that is mounted behind the triple clamp and controlled by a dedicated ECU located under the gas tank cover. The damper will provide an ideal level of damping force in any situation. According to Kawasaki, the damper will provide light and nimble steering at low speeds and superior damping at higher speeds during acceleration/deceleration.
The 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS, the ABS-equipped option, is priced at $8,099, which is $500 more than the regular Ninja 650.
