Ghost Rider Bike: Nicolas Cage Next to the Hell Cycle (Yamaha VMAX) - the Prop Motorcycle from Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011)

The Ghost Rider bike (the “Hell Cycle”) from the Ghost Rider 2 movie is a customized Yamaha VMAX, customized to look charred as a real motorcycle from Hell. The prop Yamaha VMAX was displayed at the San Diego Convention Center during the 2011 Comic-Con convention. The Yamaha replaced the chopper called “Grace” from Ghost Rider 1. I guess the movie makers wanted something more realistic and fresh—you make fantasy and science fiction believable when you insert bits of reality.

I call it VMAX instead of V-Max because after 2008 models were called VMAX, and the Ghost Rider 2 bike looks exactly like a 2009 Yamaha VMAX—200bhp, a 1679cc V4 65 degree engine, 9000rpm. Ghost

Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) is a sequel to the 2007 film Ghost Rider starring Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider who is the Devil’s bounty hunter. If you haven’t seen it, don’t bother, the movie sucks.

I’M A DIE HARD VMAX OWNER,LOVER&RIDER. I OWN A 1992 VMAX,1995CBR900RR&A 1994KAWASAKI VULCAN750.EACH BIKE HAS ITS PERTICULAR TYPE OF RIDEING USE.THE REASON THAT I HAVE NEVER OWNED A HARLEY DAVIDSON IS BCUZ I LOVE TO RIDE A RELIABLE BIKE,NOT A BIKE THAT YOU LITERALY HAVE TO WORK ON MORE THAN YOU RIDE.THE VULCAN750 IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE BIKE FOR PASSENGER&RIDER.ITS GOT PLENTY OF POWER&IS SO RELIABLE&COMFORTABLE&PERFECT FOR LONG RIDES,I LOVE THIS BIKE.THE CBR900 IS THE BEST RACE BIKE IVE EVER RIDDEN.IT HANDLES UNBELIEVABLY,AND IS INSANELY LIGHT&FAST.THE VMAX IS AN ANIMAL ALL ITS OWN.I CAN WIP IT AROUND LIKE A PEDDAL BIKE.ONCE YOU LEARN HOW TO WORK WITH THE EXTREME TORQUE&POWER,INSTEAD OF TRYING TO TAME IT YOU’LL NEVER PART WITH ITWHEN THEY TRADED THE CHOPPER FOR THE VMAX IN HOST RIDER2 THEY MADE THE BEST MOVE POSSABLE.I HONESTLY THOUGHT THE BATMAN FRANCHISE WOULD HAVE GOBBLED UP THE VMAX1st.WHO EVER MADE THAT DECISION TO MAKE THE VMAX THE GHOSTRIDER BIKE OBVIOUSLY KNOWS MOTORCYCLES.
