About 30 years ago, talk-show host, Jay Leno bought a 1939 Brough Superior SS100 for about $5,500, and his friends thought he was crazy. Now the same bike can go for a quarter million dollars at auction. Leno’s original SS100 is powered by a 990 cc overhead valve V-twin engine. This bike has a tiny windshield, chromed tank, fish-tailed exhausts, a solo seat, mini saddlebags, and a large headlight. Only about 383 SS100’s were manufactured. Read my previous article to find out more about the history of these rare vintage bikes.
