Worst Potholes in America
The worst potholes in America are in the state of Louisiana and in the city of Detroit, MI. Here are the questions we asked our followers on Facebook: What city, county, or state has the worst potholes? Which is the worst pothole?
Nine out of 92 of our followers, most of them motorcyclists, suggested that Louisiana has the worst potholes. “The entire state of Louisiana needs to be repaved,” someone said. Other U.S. states that made the top three were Michigan and California. Detroit was suggested three times and won the title the U.S. City with Worst Potholes. The other two suggestions were New Orleans and Chicago.
As to the worst pothole in America, we haven’t found it yet. Maybe it’s on the Pulaski Skyway, which “has potholes in the bridge that go clear through the deck. You can watch the river 100′ below you as you drive over them. Pray you never hit one on a bike because your front wheel will go right through.” The worst pothole in America could also be on I95 – Woodrow Wilson Bridge, known among drivers and riders as The Bermuda Triangle.

i know of things similar to this in our state, wv. hitting a pot hole and blowing a tire, my sister was driving her pickup and a tree fell off the hill side and landed on the bed of her truck and crushed the fender, lucky her. i told her she could take the state road commision to court and they would probably pay for her bed, shure enough they paid for her bed, but it was a very long process
I have been driving many different kinds of vehicles since I was 16 years of age, I am now 66 years of age. I have learned from the school of hard knocks, I did attend a driving school in Lowell, Ma to get a discount on my auto insurance while living in Mass, driving at the age of 16, cars, tractor trailers & motorcycles. Since the time of the change over from a regular driver’s license in Mass to a Class A CDL with hazmat, doubles & tripples, & tanker endorsement with a motorcycle drivers license, I also took the experienced course in Worcester, Mass on motorcycle safety course & actually leaned how to stop in a large puddle of water when raining out with a Harley motorcycle & safety rules of the road being self taught to ride a motorcycle, plus being handy-capped, I have driven over 5 million miles mostly driving a tractor trailers from the east coast to the west coast, all around New England, exclusively hauling for 1 company bulk propane & LNG pulling tankers loaded with chemicals from Maine to New Jersey safely, as a Teamster & a private hauler for myself for the last 14 years of my life until I was hurt in a tractor trailer accident in 2003, being hit from behind while hauling LNG from Ma into CT & getting hurt in which I am retired today because of that accident. unfortunately, accidents do happen, when other people don’t respect their vehicles, don’t use common sense or drive like there is no one else on the road. not paying attention or racing with other tractor trailers to just beat the other guy can get one into a accident, as in my case.
